PHP Web Developer (PHP, MySQL, Javascript, HTML/CSS)

This position collaborates within a small, nimble group to create and develop scalable web sites and online applications. This is a fast-paced, creative and flexible environment -- your contributions (code, ideas and preferences) will immediately and directly affect the solutions we provide.

We're flexible, we're looking at full-time, multi-month freelance contracts, and/or 90-day trial periods that move to full-time employment or something in-between. Your skills and availability will make the difference. Sound good? Let's talk.

GOTTA HAVE

  • PHP (4 & 5)
  • MySQL
  • JavaScript/AJAX
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS a big plus

PLUSES (more is... as usual... better)

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience optimizing database calls/structure
  • Familiarity with WordPress API
  • Exposure/familiarity with PHP CMS applications, dynamic PDF creation, dynamic Flash content (AS 3.0), or dynamic/automated charting
  • Working knowledge/ability to build or manipulate CSS layouts

DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge of modern web usability standards with experience in separating content and design; including ability to accommodate SEO efforts
  • Desire to create websites and apps using modern markup that maintains scalability and repeatability without sacrificing aesthetics
  • Ability to balance/prioritize many aspects of a project simultaneously and stay on deadline
  • Ability to learn, troubleshoot and discuss options
  • Ability to both give and receive constructive criticism in a respectful and professional manner
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
