Nearly every website ddm develops has some database or content management system components; some sites have no static pages at all and are entirely maintained by users with no HTML experience. Actually, the ddm site you're reading now is a great example of that type of website. We firmly believe in empowering clients to maintain the content of their own sites through CMS tools. Separating the delivery method and design from the content has the added benefit of allowing the reuse of that content in a number of ways. Content can be delivered in the technology of your choosing: HTML, XHTML, RSS feeds, text, Flash animations, or PDFs are all viable options. By providing the content in a manner that suits the user, the message is more readily accepted and, therefore, acted upon. Multiple points of data output from one content source make the content easier to maintain and easier for viewers to use in a manner that suits them. That, in turn, means users are more likely to use and remember the content.
Website Content Management
A content management system (CMS) is an increasingly common, expected, and necessary tool that companies need in order to maintain a current, relevant and accurate website(s).
After researching a number of different CMS tools, ddm decided to develop their own, proprietary website content management system. Rather than spend time hacking an existing system so that it could be manipulated to adequately fill each client’s need, we created an extremely flexible and expandable system that is easy to use.
The latest version of ddm’s CMS (version 3) uses a shared base of code that is frequently updated… allowing us to quickly expand features or to repair any bugs that may appear. CMS v3 uses some of the latest coding techniques to nimbly deliver efficiently coded and flexible websites.

Blogs
Unlike most websites, blogs (a large component of modern social media) typically have a much more simplified purpose and structured publishing method. Many modern blogging tools already exist and fill this need quite adequately. However, there are times when a blog needs to be adapted and modified, and for this, ddm typically chooses WordPress.
WordPress is a fantastic blog management tool, and because we can install it on our servers, we can manipulate it in order to produce unique features.
