RidgeWorth Funds Website (ridgeworthfunds.com)
Ridgeworthfunds.com - Growing and Evolving
RidgeWorth Investments originally asked ddm to create a website to display fund information... in a hurry. A year later, ddm was again able to work with RidgeWorth to develop and implement a series of modifications based on site traffic analysis, competitive analysis, and user requests.
Primary Objectives
ddm applied a number of different tools to ensure these objectives were reached.
(1) Reduce clicks, and help users find information faster
- Quicklinks -- lists of popular pages and downloadable files; as defined by a CMS administrator
- Fund lists -- constantly-accessible lists in both the header and the footer
- Fund ranking -- comparison list on the home page and fund type pages list funds according to Morningstar ratings
- Redesigned user-interface -- delivers tabbed, multi-component areas that provide high-density content without dramatically increasing clutter (made especially effective with AJAX to enable user interaction without refreshing an entire page)
- RSS -- allows users to get RidgeWorth content when they're not on the website (see RSS explained)
- Site search -- provides an alternative method for identifying and finding content
(2) Increase return visits by allowing users customize to their experience
- My Watched Funds -- pairs with existing tools and allow users to get daily fund performance information for funds they identify.
- My Pages -- allows users to create their own navigation area to pages they commonly visit
- Feedback -- encourages users to provide input using a less-formal manner than an official "Contact Us" form
- Personal Reports -- allows select users to create a report comparing their clients' 401(k) plans with national averages
Additional enhancements
These new features and functions were also accompanied by a tighter integration with Google Analytics (providing more granular tracking information) and strategic keyword use to improve organic search engine rankings.
Don't just read about it, see how the new ridgeworthfunds.com website works.
Dynamic charts. Dynamic PDFs.
The new 401(k) plan comparison tool dynamically generates a PDF report for authorized financial advisors. User input is captured via a web form, compared with national averages, and dynamically charted. Advisors can review the comparison, create notes and recommendations, and generate PDF reports which can be easily printed and reviewed with their clients.
